Child Safety Declaration

At AssistU Care and Support Services (AUCSS), we are currently developing and strengthening our Child Safety Framework to ensure it reflects the **Victorian Child Safe Standards** and the **National Principles for Child Safe Organisations**.

While this work is ongoing, we want to make clear our commitment:

- We place the **safety and wellbeing of children and young people** at the centre of everything we do.
- We have **zero tolerance for abuse** and take all concerns seriously, acting promptly in line with our reporting obligations.
- We are committed to ensuring **children’s voices are heard**, respected, and valued in our services.
- We are focused on building **inclusive, culturally safe, and supportive environments**, particularly for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and children with disability.
- All staff and volunteers are required to complete **mandatory checks and child safety training** to uphold these standards.

We acknowledge that this declaration is a work in progress, and we are dedicated to continuous improvement in safeguarding children and young people within our services.

If you have concerns about the safety or wellbeing of a child in our services, please contact us directly at
